The Novus Reavers shunned their past activities of raiding and looting in favour of more lucrative steady work, offering their services as mercenaries and bounty hunters. Their prowess in tracking and battle are unrivalled outside of the Reavers.
They are a loosely governed melting pot of former raiders, pirates, terrorists, criminals, bandits, and mercenaries operating all across the Six Galaxies. After they were forcibly evicted from the Rim, most of the Reaver gang leaders sought to reintegrate themselves back into civilization. While a few of them were arrested for their heinous crimes in the past, a number of Reavers were granted amnesty as part of the New Galactic Peace Protocol, an act reducing crime and piracy in the Six Galaxies. Most notable of these are the Lupus Brigade and Canis Victrix, who now serve as professional soldiers and trackers for hire. While the more anarchistic of the Reavers formed the Marauder's Coven, a network of bounty hunters.
While far away from their original home, they still called themselves as Space Reavers out of pride and nostalgia. The name gave them the reputation that would attract employers looking to have the feared outlaws of the Rim into their ranks. They eventually took the name of Novus Reavers, hoping to separate themselves from the bloodthirsty Oath Reavers.
